KSRTC exhibits a gutted bus to urge public to not burn or pelt stones on buses during riots or bandhs.
The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KRSTC) has launched a novel plan to urge the Indian public to refrain from vandalizing public property.
To create awareness against vandalism, the state owned body has exhibited a burnt KSRTC bus in Kempegowda Bus station, commonly known as Majestic. The vehicle has banners introducing the bus, its manufacture date, the depot it belongs to, its route and the distance clocked by the bus so far.
The bus also had a banner displaying the message “I dedicate myself to you, you set me on fire, what is my fault?"
The bus in display had been a victim of dirty politics in India. It was burnt down by miscreants protesting against Congress leader DK Shivakumar’s arrest. In India, road transport corporation buses have become easy targets of political affairs, as a result of the Government's lax rules and lack of strict penalty for such perpetrators.

State transport departments across the country suffers huge losses every year to bandhs and protests. KSRTC alone has suffered a staggering loss of 13.16 crores due to protests and bandhs in the year 2018-19.
